    Funding Sources

    Arts Queensland 

    Offers support to tour product throughout regional and remote Queensland through two different programs:

    Annual Touring Menu: applications for the 2013 menu closed on 31 October 2011. However, producers & presenters can apply all year round to the Flexible Touring Grants Program. 

    Flexible Touring Grants Program: applications supported through this program are generally smaller, niche tours, with established presenter commitment and community demand.

    Regional Arts Development Fund: (RADF) supports the professional development and employment of arts and cultural workers in regional Queensland. RADF is a partnership between State Government, through Arts Queensland, and local councils.   

    Artslink Queensland
    (formerly Queensland  Arts Council)

    Regional Quick Response Grants offer assistance up to $1,500 to individuals or organisations for projects that demonstrate a community benefit and are unable to source funds elsewhere.

    The Regional Arts Fund (RAF) is supporting sustainable cultural development in communities across regional, remote and isolated parts of Australia.  RAF is managed in Queensland by Queensland Arts Council.

    Federal Government

    The Australian government, through the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet Office for the Arts offers several programs which support drama, circus, contemporary music and cultural exhibitions to tour regional and remote Australia. 

    Playing Australia assists the performing arts across state and territory boundaries where this is currently not commercially viable and there is a demonstrated public demand.

    Contemporary Music Touring Program provides support touring activities to the contemporary music sector.

    Festivals Australia funds Australian regional and community festivals to present quality cultural projects. Funding is to add a new or special cultural activity.

    Visions of Australia provides funding to eligible organisations to develop and tour exhibitions of cultural material across Australia  

    Contemporary Touring Initiative assists collecting institutions and other organisations with the costs of developing and touring major exhibitions of contemporary Australian visual arts and crafts across Australia

    Australia Council for the Arts

    Go See Fund provides travel assistance for professional Australian presenters to attend performances by Australian artists. Through this quick-response program presenters can travel to view live work, meet the creative team and begin conversations

    Theatre Board Presenters grants and initiatives underwrite the risk of presenting new adventurous theatre and dance or the development of new work for possible presentation. Applicants are expected to bring considerable resources of their own to the proposed program and are advised to discuss their application with theatre board staff before applying.
