The work, Stretch, was created by students in Years 2 to 5 from Walkervale, Yandaran and Rosedale State Schools and was presented in Bundaberg’s Moncrieff Theatre on 1 April 2011 to an audience of families, schools and local communities.
In creating Stretch, students worked with professional artists, production crews and early childhood specialists and have gained skills in drama, magic, media and movement . The performance will feature a pre-recorded narration by internationally acclaimed Queensland actor Bille Brown. Stretch is part of a three year project called Yonder developed by the KITE Arts Education Program, an initiative of the Queensland Government through Education Queensland and in partnership with QPAC.
