61 Circus Acts in 60 Minutes, a production by Circa toured regional Queensland earlier this year. A partnership between Creative Regions who were presenting 61 Circus Acts in 60 Minutes in Bundaberg and the CQUniversity (CQU) enabled 30 students from Eidsvold and Baralaba State Schools to participate in a Circa run circus workshop.
It was a great workshop and the kids loved it! Rod Ainsworth, Co-Director, Creative Regions.CQUniversity provided buses, accommodation and meals for the students to travel to Bundaberg to participate. The workshop was part of a program designed by CQUniversity to get young people thinking about tertiary education. The purpose of that [workshop] is to build their confidence and skills, and get them to see that they can achieve anything in a small space of time. Then we get them to reflect on what they've accomplished today and set goals for their learning journeys. Stacey Doyle, CQUniversity 's Outreach Co-ordinator.
The 61 Circus Acts in 60 Minutes tour is managed and coordinated by arTour, an initiative supported by the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland.
