Tips for Presenters

These tips aim to assist community organisations interested in presenting performing arts activities within their community for the first time.

arTour has a commitment to provide regional and remote Queensland communities with performing arts activities of the highest quality which are suited to audiences and participants of all ages, tastes and interests.  Companies and artists from Queensland and interstate will be encouraged to apply to the Annual Queensland Touring Fund for tour subsidy. Information on the criteria can be found on the Arts Queensland website.

Productions available on the Queensland Touring Menu are self-contained and many are available for presentation in a wide variety of spaces. Venues and community organisations have the opportunity to peruse and choose shows, workshops and residences they would like to host from the product listed on the touring menu.

While six to eight tours are co-ordinated by arTour each year, presenters and producers can also apply to the Flexible Touring Fund to subsidise tours.
