Following a sell-out season of their Mamma Mia tribute show Carole Williams and Ian Moore are delighted to present a selection of songs from The Great American Songbook. The most influential popular songs and jazz standards from the early 20th century that have stood the test of time in their life and legacy. Songs from the Golden Age of this genre include those popular and enduring tunes from the 1920s to the 1950s that were created for Broadway theatre, musical theatre and Hollywood musical film. Including the songs of George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, Jerome Kern, Harold Arlen, Johnny Mercer and Richard Rodgers amongst others. Join us for an exclusive, joyful musical performance with two of Brisbane's favourite stage personalities. This unique concert features Williams and Moore and their four piece conservatorium trained ensemble performing renditions of well-known and popular songs, performed in their own inimitable style.

The show spans three decades of well known music from popular genres presented with humour style elegance and grace. The onstage comaraderie of the performers comes from a long term professional relationship which overflows into their joyous and at ease performance. The band is unique - 4 female Conservatorium trained musicians who wield their classical instruments with flair and a contemporary bend. Audience members are encouraged to sing along and will leave smiling humming and tie tapping!

Community Engagement

Artists from within the community will be used to support this show. The show offers opportunities for different musicians to work with the core performers each time it is performed. The show is available to tour to regional and remote communities. The high quality and professional show will help to promote venues and bring people to communities that engage the show. Williams is happy to work with students interested in videoing and/or photographing the show to help develop their capabilities and provide them with experience. The performers and musicians will also provide interview experience for media students, Q and A with public and offer a singalong experience if desired.

As trained and professional teachers and facilitators with vast experience in community engagement including having held many workshops, developing digital and printed resources and giving presentations, Williams will excel in hosting these sessions. Additionally, they are able to host a question and answer session as well as provide other resources to assist young and emerging artists with writing, promoting and producing entertainment products for the professional market.
