It could be because we just won another state of origin series but we’re feeling very proud of Queensland right now.
APACA has released their Performing Arts Exchange (PAX) program including a bevy of Queensland companies showcasing and pitching their work. At the same time, Helpmann Award nominations have recognised some of the amazing talent we have in Queensland.
PAX is an exciting opportunity which will expose Queensland work to presenters across the country. We’re pleased to see the following Queensland shows being profiled on the national stage for consideration in the Australian touring market:
- Desirelines from Collusion
- Flaunt by Claire Marshall and De Profundis by David Fenton and Brian Lucas both represented by Metro Arts
- Motherland from Belloo Creative
- Prize Fighter from La Boite
- Rainbow Vomit from Dancenorth
Check out the program and full list of presenting organisations and be sure to get your registration sorted soon. If you want to discuss whether PAX is for you, contact arTour’s Creative Broker, Luke Harriman.
arTour is also so proud of all Queensland based Helpmann nominations – a true testament to the high quality work being produced here. Some of the highlights included:
- Camerata of St Johns
- Expressions Dance Company
- La Boite Theatre Company
- Queensland Theatre Company
- shake & stir theatre co
- the FARM
We’re also chuffed to be nominated along with shake & stir theatre co for best regional touring production for the national tour of Roald Dahl's Revolting Rhymes and Dirty Beasts.
