Whether you're new to touring or a seasoned veteran, the Touring ForumĀ for Artists and Producers is a must for anyone wanting to tour through Queensland.

arTour is already beginning to plan for next year's Queensland Touring Showcase. In March 2015 venues and presenters from across the state will come to meet with artists and producers and consider touring productions for their programs and communities. Knowing what to expect before you get there is a great advantage to making the most of the opportunity and convert interest to outcome.

As the name suggests, the Touring Forum for Artists and Producers is just for producers and artists. The whole event is geared to providing the information you need to prepare for the Showcase and touring in general. It will include practical workshop sessions about budgeting and setting your sell-off fee, getting your marketing right, pitching your work, and engaging with communities.

A panel of presenters will also give you an insight into what they are looking for when programming for their venues and communities.

For those producers and artists with little or no touring experience, a special preliminary session will be held just before the forum. We will cover some 'Touring 101' so you know the basics before joining the rest of the discussions.
