Imagine the world was ending. The human race survives but each person can only take one thing with them... a single memory.
Guided by only a cassette player and headphones, a library for the end of the world takes you on an unaccompanied tour exploring secret locations in your town. Rediscover familiar places and well-worn streets as you journey to the secret location - a library full of old-world objects and a collection of rich memories from all who have passed through its doors. Add your own memory to the ever growing library for the end of the world and spend a moment listening to memories left by strangers from your town and beyond.

Counterpilot is a collective of interdisciplinary artists directed by Nathan Sibthorpe and including Mike Willmett (sound designer), Clinton Freeman (software designer) and Christine Felmingham (technical designer).
Together, we create interactive performance works, activating audiences with new technology, rich design, and transmedia storytelling. Counterpilot seeks to transform the familiar, juxtaposing rich fictional worlds against a backdrop of the everyday.
Our works boldly experiment with new applications of technology, including 3D printing and digital media. With interactive tools like geo-locative audio, SMS distribution networks, RFID voting systems and biometric sensors, Counterpilot seeks to put the audience at the centre of every performance experience – whether it be for physical journeys, experiential narrative, or heightened gameplay.
Our works include AVOIDABLE PERILS (2020), TRUTHMACHINE (2019), CRUNCH TIME (2018), Spectate (2017), and This is Capital City (2015).
Metro Arts is developing the future of Australian contemporary arts practice, now.
Championing all contemporary art forms, the two core activities of the organisation are developing and co-presenting contemporary arts.
