InsideOutside Theatre Company has been producing original murder mystery shows at venues including cafes, restaurants and on a steam train since 2013 (as featured on Channel 7s 'Great Day Out'.) The show includes performance, clues, interactive questioning of suspects, yummy food, detective led conclusion and prizes for the best (and worst) teams. A funpacked night of entertainment awaits.

Full Steam Ahead is an interactive murder mystery production, best served up with dinner, set on a train in France in the 1930s. The Duchess of Cranmere is travelling to Biarritz with her niece and nephew but there appears to be a lack of first class accommodation and they have to rough it with the commoners. Guests are invited to dress up and become detectives to help solve a murder most foul.

Unique Selling Point

Full Steam Ahead is one of a suite of original murder mysteries written for InsideOutside Theatre Company which owns copyright to all the shows. The formula is unique in Australia and the show itself can (and has been) adapted to be performed interactively in many different types of venue. Audience enjoy the immersive theatre experience and many come back time and time again to watch the shows. Full Steam Ahead is already booked into 2018 with one of our lead partners, Queensland Pioneer Steam Railway in Ipswich and is very popular.

Community Engagement

The production is very easy to stage and can be performed in many venues. There are no technical requirements so it is very flexible. As part of our 'season' we usually take the show into nursing homes where we perform for seniors who cannot get out to access theatre or entertainment. As an interactive production, there is no expectation that audience members should sit quietly making the show accessible to all adults and young people (with parental guidance). As part of a tour we would be happy to perform in any venue and are particularly keen to engage with and include regional and rural audiences.
