Adapted from the book “ I Sang For My Supper” by Margaret Fulton
It's a recipe for success
Jamie Oliver, Donna Hay, and Gordon Ramsay were not even born by the time Margaret Fulton had already reigned supreme on Australia’s cooking world, being awarded an OAM in 1983 and identified as Australian Living National Treasure. Encouraging housewives and cordon bleus to use uncommon ingredients and to stray from the traditional meat and three veg diet, she progressively won her spurs. From the renowned Margaret Fulton Cookbook to her more recent appearances on TV shows, she always found music and entertainment as interesting as cooking. Convinced she deserved her own musical, writer Doug Macleod ( The Adventures of Snugglepot and Cuddlepie and Little Ragged Blossom) and composer Yuri Woronstschk (Eric Bana’s -Love The Beast, Shaun Micaellef’s- Mad As Hell) have teamed-up to put Fulton’s life and creative recipes to the stage.
