Unique Selling Point

What is special about Junkyard beats is combining the incredible musicanship and body percussion with environmental awareness. Our vision is to inspire children and adults to use their imagination in looking at everyday objects and how they might be able to be used to make music. The educational purpose of the show is to raise the awareness on creative recycling, reusing and sustainability through music. There is a big focus on the connection between people through universal rhythm language. People with an interest in the conservation and the environment will appreciate the theme of reuse that drives the show.

Community Engagement

We use our creative approach and humour to make our workshops a one-of-a-kind experience for everyone. Participants learn basic body percussion skills and how to perform rhythms using a range of tools such as melody pipes, broom sticks, plastic bins, drums and more! We also teach people how to transform junk and recycle materials into musical instruments. We love making instrument from everyday objects and recycled materials. Would you like us to build a permanent musical installation at your school / pre-school / community centre?
