The Tie that Binds - when two take the stage "Once in a while two performers come along and create magic."
On-stage chemistry between performers is like lightning; hard to predict but electric when it happens. From Stevie Nicks and Don Henley (Stop Dragging My Heart Around), to Barbara Streisand and Kris Kristofferson (Evergreen); from Gaga and Bradley Cooper (Shallow), to Katherine Hepburn and Spencer Tracey (I Can't Give You Anything But Love); throughout time, when two take the stage, there have been performances that have created magical moments in music that are effervescent.
The Tie That Binds is a cabaret celebrating successful on-stage pairings from the time of the Great American Songbook and beyond, and includes popular songs from the early 20th century right through to today. Crossing genres of country music, contemporary pop and songs from the Golden Age of Hollywood musical film, what brings all these styles together is the performers who sang them. The Tie That Binds celebrates the magic that happens when two performers work so well together they bring a touch of magic to the stage.
Additional songs include Don't Give Up (Kate Bush and Peter Gabriel), Jackson (June Carter and Johnny Cash), Let's Call the Whole Thing Off (Astaire and Rodgers) and They Call Me the Wild Rose (Nick Cave and Kylie Minogue).
