Calling all teenagers! Get your comedy writing and performance skills up to speed with a crash course in comedy. Learn the process of becoming a stand-up comedian, from writing your first piece of material to your debut performance.
Taught by stars from Brisbane’s Sit-Down Stand-Up Comedy Club, comedians Fiona McGary (as seen on ABC, Channel 7 and The Comedy Channel) and Lindsay Webb (who’s supported comedy legends such as Wayne Brady, Tom Green and Wil Anderson) will be honing your performance skills, comedic timing and inspiring your punchline delivery.
The workshops will cover comedy writing technique, generating ideas, stage technique, communication skills, confidence building, developing performance and public speaking ability.
These workshops are free, but space is limited so book your spot by contacting your local council office.
