A small darling in the Darlingdowns Region, European settlers founded the Millermerran area in 1841. The provincial town was originally known as Back Creek, then changed to Domville in 1889, before finally settling on the name Millermerran in 1894. The name is believed to be derived from the two traditional Aboriginal words that included ‘meel’ (meaning: eye) and ‘merran’ (meaning: look out) – the original owners of the land are believed to have used this location as a watch point. The town hosts an exciting Sheep Race in August each year.

Millmerran 210 km (2 hr  40 min drive) west of Brisbane and 80 km (1 hr drive) south west of Toowoomba.
