Roadcase is an extension of Queensland Touring Showcase specifically tailored to the programming needs of community presenters, local arts councils, regional councils and festivals. These presenters include a mix of rural and remote communities extending from Quilpie in the South West, Normanton in the North West and Atherton in the Far North. View the full list of community presenters and local councils and read more about presenters in Queensland.

Community presenters often program with a shorter lead-time and will be looking for work available to tour in the next 12 to 18 months.

Shows visiting rural and remote communities are performed in a wide variety of venues, some better equipped than others. Community Presenters, particularly in the case of local arts councils, have limited resources when it comes to programming budgets, volunteers and time.

Touring productions considered for Roadcase must be:

  • High quality
  • Flexible and self contained
  • Affordable with great audience appeal
  • Quick and easy to bump in and out
  • Engaging for local communities
